Discord Bot Command Reference

Installing the Bot

You can install the bot in one of 2 ways:

  1. Open up the "Games" page, and click on the "New" button. Then select the Discord type of game, and follow the instructions.
  2. Click this link to add the bot to your Discord Server.

You can verify if the bot has been succesefully been added using this command.

Dice and Rolling

Dice have two input schemes; Color (Default) and Name. The scheme will apply across all your Discord servers. Change your scheme in your profile settings on RPGSessions.com

Color

y - Yellow

g - Green

b - Blue

r - Red

p - Purple

k - blacK

w - White (Star Wars only)

Name

p - Proficiency

a - Ability

b - Boost

Rolling

.r test {dice} {description} - Test dice roll without tracking the results in the roll history

.r {quantity}d{dice sides} - Roll polyhedral dice

.r crit +{modifier} - Roll a standalone character crit (Will not add modifiers from existing character crits or add crit result to active character.)

.r vcrit +{modifier} - Roll a standalone vehicle crit (Will not add modifiers from existing vehicle crits or add crit result to vehicle)

.r (force) - Roll uncommitted force dice (Star Wars only)

Advanced Options

4r = rrrr - Add a number for multiples of the same type of dice

(character/npc name: skill name) - Use positive dice based on a skill from a character or NPC on RPG Sessions

[skill name] - Use negative dice based on a skill from the selected server character

[character/npc name: skill name] - Use negative dice based on a skill from a character or NPC on RPG Sessions


GM Options

You must be a server admin to use the .gm add/remove commands.

.gm add @{discord name} - Assign a player a GM role to the current game.

.gm remove @{discord name} - Remove GM player role from the current game.


Character Options

.c l - List all characters in the game.

.c v - View your character in the game.

.c f +{number} - Commit a number of Force dice for your Character (Star Wars only).

.c f -{number} - Uncommit a number of Force dice for your Character (Star Wars only).

Character Money

.c m +{amount} - Add money to your character

.c m -{amount} - Subtract money to your character

Character Injury

.c w +{amount} - Add wounds to your character

.c w -{amount} - Subtract wounds fom your character

.c s +{amount} - Add strain to your character

.c s -{amount} - Subtract strain from your character

.c d {amount} - Add damage to your character, reduced by soak

.c d {amount} p {amount} - Add damage to your character with pierce, reduced by soak

.c d {amount} b {amount} - Add damage to your character with breach, reduced by soak

Character Crits

Previous crits will automatically be added to each of these commands.

.c c - Roll a crit to your current active character.

.c c +{amount} - Roll a crit, adding additional modifiers.

.c c -{amount} - Roll a crit, subtracting additional modifiers.

.c c add{severity} - Add a specific crit to your character.

.c c remove{severity} - Remove a specific crit from your character.

Character XP

.c x v - View the available XP on your character

.c x +{amount} - Add XP. Total XP will increase.

.c x -{amount} - Subtract XP. Total XP will decrease.


Vehicles

There are two types of vehicles, Party .v and Character .cv. The commands below are for a Party vehicle. For a Character's Vehicle, use the same commands, but replace ".v" with ".cv" for all commands.

 

.v l - List selected party vehicle and all character vehicles.

.v v - View party vehicle in the game.

Speed

.v sp +{amount} - Increase speed for party vehicle.

.v sp -{amount} - Decrease speed for party vehicle.

Vehicle Injury

.v t +{amount} - Add trauma

.v t -{amount} - Subtract trauma

.v s +{amount} - Add system strain

.v s -{amount} - Subtract system strain

.v d {amount} - Add damage, reduced by armor

.v d {amount} b {amount} - Add damage with breach, reduced by armor

Vehicle Crits

Previous crits will automatically be added to each of these commands.

.v c - Roll a crit.

.v c +{amount} - Roll a crit, adding additional modifiers.

.v c -{amount} - Roll a crit, subtracting additional modifiers.

.v c add{severity} - Add a specific crit to your vehicle.

.v c remove{severity} - Remove a specific crit from your vehicle.

Advanced Options

.v c v - View crit table for the server.


Initiative

.i v - View Initiative

.i c - Clear Initiative

.i reset - Reset the current initiative back to round 1 slot 1.

Create Initiative

.i r pc (skill) - Roll initiative for a PC

.i r npc {dice} - Roll initiative for a NPC

.i r {number}npc {dice} - Roll for multiple NPCs of the same type.

.i new {pc/npc} {pc/npc} {pc/npc} {etc.} - Create a new initiative with a new order that will modifying the round and slot.

Advance Initiative

.i n - Advance initiative to next slot

.i n {amount} - Advance initiative a number of slots

.i p - Return initiative to previous slot

.i p {amount} - Return initiative a number of slots

Edit Initiative

.i add pc {slot number} - Add PC slot to current initiative

.i add npc {slot number} - Add NPC slot to current initiative

.i remove npc - Remove the last NPC from current initiative

.i remove {slot number} - Remove a slot number from the current initiative

Advanved Options

.i set round {number} - Set the round number

.i set slot {number} - Set the slot number

.i set {pc/npc} {pc/npc} {pc/npc} {etc.} - Set the new initiative order without modifying the round or slot.


In Character Posts

Currently Patreon Users Only

The bot will require some additional permissions to use this command. To check permissions and create the required webhook, use this command .ic configure.

.ic {your in character post} - Post that will show the character image from your character sheet instead of the default Discord avatar

.ac {your in character post} - Alternate command trigger

You can also post as any NPC at your table, which will respect the visibility settings you've selected for image/name. Just tell the bot who you want to post as using either the name of the NPC OR the number assigned to them when you run .npc list.

.ic ({NPC Number or Name}) {your NPC post} - Post as an NPC


Destiny & Story Points

There are two types of points, Destiny (Star Wars) .d and Story .s. All Destiny or Story Point commands can start with either ".d" or ".s" and use any of the identifiers.

Creating the Dice Pool

.d set {identifiers} - Add points to the pool manually

.d r {force dice} - Add points to the pool by rolling Force dice (Star Wars only)

Using Light Side/Player Story Points

.d l {description} - Use a Light Side Point

NPCs

All NPC commands (except for ".n l") can only be done by a player assigned as GM. (See the GM Options to learn how to set someone as a GM.)

 

.n l - List all NPCs

.n add {name/number} - Add NPC with a name or number

.n remove {name/number} - Remove NPC with a name or number

Display NPC Stats

.n hide {name/number} - Prevents all PCs from seeing any NPC data when they run ".n l" (Default when added)

.n show {name/number} - Allows all PCs to see all NPC data when they run ".n l"

NPC Injury

.n {name/number} w +{amount} - Add wounds to an NPC

.n {name/number} w -{amount} - Subtract wounds fom an NPC

Advanced Options

.n l a {search} - Lists all the NPCs you have on your account (up to 10) for the current game type filtered by the optional parameter search. The NPCs will have a number in front of their name which can be used to quickly reference them/reference them specifically for the add command.
